Meet Danielle. She has worked as a nurse practitioner in the US for almost 10 years. She struggled with amenorrhea and subsequent infertility and was told by several different specialists that she had PCOS. The recommended treatment was the pill, then to see another specialist when she wanted to conceive.
Being a medical practitioner, Danielle was incredibly frustrated that she “couldn’t fix herself” and was eventually diagnosed with hypothalamic amenorrhea. She conceived with IUI but tragically her pregnancy ended at 23 weeks.
After this traumatic experience of going through labour but not bringing a baby home, Danielle was determined to learn as much as she could to heal herself.
She dove into functional medicine, devoured every resource and training that she could and finally got her period back and went on to conceive 2 children naturally.
This experience affected her so greatly, that she changed her job and moved into a more functional and integrative role as a nurse practitioner. Danielle now helps women to optimise their health so that they can have the best outcomes possible.
